They will risk everything, even challenging the all-seeing eye of the Omni government. But will the prize be worth the cost?
Seventeen-year-old Pierce is a Drudge, the lowest social stratum in society. For over two years, he’s hoped—prayed—that his upcoming aptitude test will finally free him from his virtual slavery and give him a chance at a better existence. When he rescues Harmony, an Artist and member of the most successful stratum, his life takes an unbelievable twist.
With his gallant act and good looks, he becomes a media sensation. Every stratum in society seeks his membership for their publicity, but as he becomes closer to Harmony, Pierce realizes what fame in Omni is truly like. His choices will not only affect him but Harmony as well. The life Pierce thought he wanted may not be worth the cost to either of them.
Omni is an epic duology focused on a society where each person is part of a strata system. A stratum decides your life, your status and can only be changed by an aptitude test taken once in a lifetime. Seventeen year old Drudge’s only chance at escaping society’s lowest stratum is to ace the test, something he fully intends to do until he and Harmony cross paths. A simple heroic act catapults a nobody into a media somebody, but with great fame comes wisdom of the upper echelons of society. Can Harmony and Drudge change the world for the better? What feels like a mix between The Hunger Games’ district segregation and Divergent’s “dare to be different” message, Omni sounds like a can’t miss opportunity.
I love a cover that catches your eye and Omni delivers. The colors, buildings and oppressive font “Omni” is made of only further hints at a book filled with action, adventure and mystery. What do you guys think, could Andrea Murray be the next big Young Adult Sci-fi sensation? They say never judge a book by its cover, but sometimes a cover is the part the draws you in. I think Omni’s new cover is drawing us in!
