Review: The Black Tongue
The Black Tongue is a beautifully written novel translated to English and originally written Swedish. The novel, keeping with the Swedish writing tradition, is a detailed and original piece with a similar narration style as Steig Larsson who wrote The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. A chilling psychological horror with plenty of darkness and disturbing situations. A killer lives among the residents of Suvikylä in northern Finland. She kills with a hatchet, buries their hearts in a potato field and eats them after they’ve rotted black. After generations of tales and ... Continue Reading...
Review: Girl’s Guide to The Apocalypse
The Girl's Guide to The Apocalypse is essentially a satirical tribute to the Millennial Generation. In the wake of a catastrophe that causes all modern technology to fail and disease to spread causing zombie like creatures Verdell becomes the narrator and hero of her own tale. She's luke warm about her long term boyfriend (should she break up with him, or keep him?), her boss is obsessed with a book entitled The Secrets of Risk Management and the world has devolved into a free-for-all cannibal country. Oh, and then there's the cults. I want to start off by saying ... Continue Reading...
Review: While You Were Gone

While You Were Gone is an emotional roller coaster ride filled with more than pure romance. Its a story about self-discovery, life choices and ... Continue Reading...
