<\/a><\/center>Ive decided the time has come to really start updating my blog with what I do each week. I was recently inspired by a post I read by Kelsye at Wise Ink Blog Ultimate Bloggers Guide to Growing Your Readership<\/a>. Her list of ways to increase traffic got me thinking about how little I actually do to set schedules and really update readers on what to expect from my little slice of the inter-webs. In theory<\/i>, this feature should help keep me on track and active. My long term goal is to keep everyone updated on the comings and goings of Silk&Serif in the community on a weekly basis.<\/p>\nWhat should you expect?<\/b> Every Thursday I’ll post a list of new books I’ve received through publishers or I’ve purchased myself. I will also include a portion about my activities in the book community that are especially exciting or “bookish” in my opinion.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>\nI have been experiencing a bit of a drought when it comes to the desire to read this past month. I decided to join Read, Sleep, Repeat’s<\/a> 3rd Annual ARC August to get through my reads received in July that I haven’t devoured yet. More on what I plan to read soon..<\/p>\n
Rules:<\/h2>\n\n- It may be a physical ARC or eARC but it MUST be an ARC<\/li>\n
- Yes it can be an ARC that has already released; as long as it\u2019s an ARC I\u2019m not going to nit pick\u00a0really<\/li>\n
- HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Feeling like you are being \u201cforced\u201d to read is the best way turn a fun event into a yucky obligation.<\/li>\n
- Update post! I personally will do a post for each\u00a0Saturday\u00a0in August but that\u2019s just me. You can update once a week, every other week or once for the whole darn event. This update can be in the form of a blog\/tumblr post, vlog, link to your \u201cARC August 2015\u2033 shelf or even an instagram pic! I want to make this as easy and low pressure as possible for you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Essentially? Its about reading all the books on my ARC TBR list from before August 1st.!<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/center>Lunar Chronicles<\/a>, ran by Brittany @ Book Addict’s Guide<\/a> started this month as well. The event is all about reading the entire Lunar Chronicle series before Winter comes out this Fall. The entire event runs August 1st to December 7th:<\/p>\nCINDER: August 1 \u2013 August 31

\nCRESS: October 1 \u2013 October 31
\nWINTER: November 10 \u2013 December 7<\/p>\n
